We are talking about the one thing that makes you a leader. The power of vision. Where there is no vision the people perish but where there is a vision, there is hope, there is life, there is enthusiasm and there is victory. It is not a leader that makes a vision; it is vision that makes a leader.

Vision bathes in you a passion, it gives vitality, it fuels your fire. When you take vision out, you cut out the heart of a leader. What is that picture dear reader that makes your mind to rise and makes the blood to flow in your vein? What is that picture of the future that inspires you? Sometimes it comes suddenly, sometimes it comes piece by piece but the feeling that it produces in you is I was born for this. In this vision you see yourself solving a problem; a problem for your nation, a problem for humanity.

You have the in born capacity to help us solve problems in our economy, to help us solve problems in our educational sector, in the media, in arts, in entertainment, in our political life. What is that vision, that dream that you have, hold on to it and begin to take practical steps to see it fulfilled. This is why you were born to be a problem solver and as you seek to fulfill this dream you will be surprise. God will give you the power of influence, you will become a leader.

We have said that the key factor that makes you a leader is a vision and now dear reader, when you have that vision you must take practical steps to influence others positively. The first thing you should do is to become a problem solver. The root to leadership is problem solving, promotion, success and wealth are actually rewards for problem solving. Problems exist to be solved. What others called problems, actually a leader see it as an opportunity, the problem is not the problem, the problem is how you see the problem and the size of the person is more important than the size of the problem. To be a leader you must see the problems of our nation as an opportunity and you must start by solving your own problems. As you solve your own problems you provide inspiration to others who also want to solve their own problems.

Secondly, the essence of leadership is change. Leaders are never satisfied with the status quo, change to a leader is inevitable. If we don’t create positive change there will be negative change. The major part of our problem in this nation is cultural. It’s in our way of life, the things we value, the things we don’t value and dear reader, God sent you to this nation to be an agent of change. Help us to begin this change in your life and dear reader, the greatest investment of leadership is in people.

If you work better with people you are a follower, if you help people work better you are a manager but if you develop better people to do the work you are a leader. Focus on people, they are God’s greatest assets on planet earth. You must believe in people, you most have a positive attitude towards people, you must love people and you must empower people to do things they never thought they could do with their lives. In leadership you will succeed.
