Do you know that what you don’t know may be killing you. The quality of your life cannot be better than the quality of your knowledge. What goes on in your mind is a prediction of what will happen in your life, so dear listener, when you change your thought you alter the direction of your life.
We must appreciate in our country now that mind power is superior to muscle power. What you learn is what determines what you earn, what you know more than others is what keeps you ahead of them and what determines what you know, the books that you read, the people that you associate with, the education that you get. There is something called the ‘Law of Integrative Complexity’ – it says in every group of individuals, the person who can absorb, integrate and apply the greatest quantity of essential information will eventually dominate all the other individuals within that group.
Things are changing in our country. In times past people who knew nothing but who had access to the corridors of power made a lot of money and seem to be successful but in the next ten years , we are going to see people rewarded on merit. So, it’s going to be what you know that’s going to count. The average person born in this country is programmed for mediocrity, don’t sign in for mediocrity, go to school, read books, listen to tapes, attend those seminars. Change your thinking and change your life.
He who thinks he knows should know that he does not know yet everything that he ought to know, all that you know is all you have learnt but all you have learn is not all there is to learn. Everyday when you put on your computer one of the messages you get on your computer is upgrades are ready for you computer. Everyday is given as an opportunity for us to improve, an opportunity to learn something new.
Knowledge grows every single day therefore, I challenge you that updates are ready for your computer which is your mind. Today knowledge become obsolete at a very quick rate, what you know yesterday may not be good enough to guarantee your job today. Job security is guaranteed by continuous learning. Knowledge and experience help us to recognize patterns in new situations that help us to make decisions quickly and to take actions that correspond to those decisions.
The people who rise to the top in any organization are those who are able to quickly identify those patterns. Wise people therefore value information over activity but fools value activity over information. Its better that you spend your time reading, studying, preparing, developing the capacity to gather information, to analyze information and to make sharp decisions.
Abraham Lincoln, former America president said, ‘If I have ten hours to cut down a tree, I will spend the first six hours sharpening my axe’. The poverty and under development around us today is caused largely by ignorance, will you be different dear listener, then, attend a seminar, read a book, listen to a tape, take that course and sign up with a mentor.
