Few months after the financial reports saga of renowned Cadbury Nigeria plc, the company has stopped production in its Lagos plant. Information gathered revealed that the various production lines of the company have been idle in the last one month as no production has been authorized by management.
The management is rather making efforts to sell the stock it has in its warehouses, as this is the reason why its products are scarce both in the wholesale and retail outlets, causing some slight increase in the prices of the products. The suspension has also been dealt with in a professional manner so as not to arouse the anger of investors. This is because the suspension can affect the stock price at the stock market.
The company is presently undergoing a major management restructuring exercise which will see some top officers relieved of their jobs when concluded.
