Dangote Flour Mills have opened its doors to the Nigerian public today as it commences sale of its shares today. The company is offering 1.25billion ordinary shares of 50k each at N15 per share.
Dangote Flour Mills commenced operations in 1999 as a division of Dangote Industries limited. Following the strategic decision of Dangote Industries Limited to unbundle its various operations, Dangote Flour Mills Plc was incorporated in 2006.

The core business of the milling company is flour milling, processing and marketing of branded flour. From an initial installed capacity of 500 metric tonnes per day at its Apapa mill, the company has expanded to Kano, Kano State, Calabar, Cross River State and Ilorin, Kwara State. Three of the mills have an installed capacity of 4000 MT per day.
The company, many believe is a good one, considering the high consumption of flour based products in the country and its by products. The Dangote group last year sold equity in Dangote Sugar Refinery and so far it has been a huge success story.
Dangote Sugar Refinery so far is the first company to pay quarterly dividend, and many hope that the same would go for the flour mills
The offer closes on September 27, 2007.
