Fidelity offer opens @ N8.00

After being placed on technical suspension for a while, Fidelity Bank Plc launched its public offer yesterday accross the country.

The bank is offering to the public a total of 5,501,100,421 ordinary shares of 50 kobo each at N8.00 per share, as well as rights issue of 498,899,579 ordinary shares of 50 kobo at N8 per share on the basis of one ordinary share for every 33 ordinary shares held in the bank as at August 20, 2007.

The offer is said to be highly ,discounted at N8.00, as its present price on the floor of the exchange is N11.99.

The price has appreciated from N1.25 kobo in January 2005 to N11.59 in 2007 - which is an appreciation of 859 per cent in just three years.Profit before tax has also grown by over 300 per cent in the three years between 2005 and 2007.In the same manner, total assets of the bank have grown over 540 per cent from 2005 to 2007.

The offer closes on November 9, 2007.

    pls sir/mar i will like to know if probably after three year of my investment in buying of shares in fidelity bank ltd, so i will to know how much will i stand to gain after three year of such investment, again i will like you to know that in these three years of investment i have not yet got my satificate to give me confident that i will have my deividen at the end of day, so pls i will looke forward to ear from you soo.
