The exchange is gradually becoming an all blue one, as share prices are beginning to rally due to the release of impressive results less than 2 months to the end of 2007. Below are some of the released results by quoted companies on the exchange.
Chevron Oil Nigeria Plc.
The oil giants released their 3rd quarter result for the period ended September 30, 2007. Among key highlights, the company grew turnover by over N3 billion, from N49.55 billion in 2006 to N52.57 billion in 2007. Profit before tax was N2.08 billion in 2007 as against N1.71 billion for 2006.
After tax profit inched higher by a mere 23 percent, from N1.12 billion in 2006 to N1.38 billion in 2007.
Associated Bus Company Plc.
The popularly known bus company also released their 3rd result for the period ended September 30, 2007. Although they have good patronage in their industry, the result was not too impressive as they made a loss of about 10 percent for the period.
In the result, turnover grew by 20 percent, from N1.99 billion in 2006 to N2.39 billion in 2007. Profit before tax dropped by 10.05 percent, from N0.22 billion in 2006 to N0.19 billion in 2007. Profit after tax followed suit, as this figure dropped 10 percent, from N0.16 billion in 2006 to N0.14 billion in 2007.
