CAP Plc declares N3.00 dividend.

CAP plc recently released its full year audited results for the period ended December 31, 2007. The result was impressive as indicies clearly showed that the company had a fruitful financial year.

IN the highlights of the results,turnover increased by a mere 5 percent, from N1.98 billion in 2006 to N2.09 billion in 2007. Profit before tax was higher, as this figure increased from N0.41 billion in 2006 to N0.57 billion in 2007 indicating an increase of 37 percent.

Extraordinary intem accounted for N0.48 billion in 2007 as against N0.04 billion in 2006,, an increase of 1011 percent. It is predicated on this results that the directors of the company have therefore proposed a dividend of N3.00 for the 2007 financial year, while interim dividend has been set at N0.75. The closure date for the register is April 15, 2008, while payment date has been fixed for May 17, 2008.
