The Market continued in its downward trend rather slightly as the price movement indicator the All Share Index went down by 61,249.85 points from yesterdays closing of 61,418.96 points. Although an increase in terms of traded volume and value of traded shares as the volume increased to 634,635,352 shares valued at N12,531,298,384.35 against yesterdays volume of 398,112,192 shares valued at N7,239,784,189.27. The total number of individual deals also increased to 18,164 from yesterdays 12,730 deals.
However, the Share Capitalisation value still went down to N11,810,293,949,173.95 lower than yesterdays N11,842,902,794,773.05


Banks lead the market today as:(1) PLATINIUM HABIB BANK had the highest volume of trade with 57,495,049shares valued at N1,670,283,335.98; (2) UNIVINSURE traded a volume of 39,473,696 valued at N121,164,575.06; (3) ACCESS BANK traded 35,524,637 shares valued at N790,877,852.92; (4) BIGTREAT traded 34,927,620 unit shares valued at N318,652,195.32; while (5) INTERCONTINENTAL BANK traded 3,440,040 valued at N1,515,662,534.58

PLATINIUM led the price gainers chart with N1.46 to close at N30.68;
BETAGLAS came second with N1.25 to close at N26.25; LONGMAN was third with N1.19 to close at N25.18; fourth was BERGER gaining N0.83 to close at N17.53; while BOCGAS was fifth after gaining N0.74 to close at N17.90

The losers table is topped by ETI which lost N11.49 to close at N229.41; second was MOBIL losing N9.99 to close at N270.02; Third was NESTLE after losing N7.24 to close at N230.00; fourth is OANDO which lost N2.91 to close at N228.00; while TOTAL is beter of at fifth position losing only N2.60 to close at N235.00
