Fidelity Nigeria Fund releases results, declares 18 kobo dividend.

Fidelity Nigeria Fund has released its results for the full year ended June 30, 2007 to the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange. Comparative analysis of the results and that recorded in the same period in 2006 has shown that the results are very impressive. The company was able to increase its turnover for the period under review by 658.6 percent from N0.14 billion in 2006 to N1.10 billion in 2007.

Profit befor tax appreciated by 621.1 percent from N0.12 billion in 2006 to N0.92 billion in 2007. After tax profit also wore a beautiful look as it grew by 621.9 percent from N0.12 billion in 2006 to N0.92 billion in 2007.
The company has proposed a dividend payout of 18 kobo to investors whose names appear in its register at the closure date being today 28 April 2008. Its payment date is slated for May 9, 2008.
