Today being the first trading day of the week marked yet another bullish run on the floors of the Nigerian Stock Exchange with the All Share Market index edging up to 62,518.07 base points better than previous week closing at 62,387.44 base points. GOLDLINK Insurance notified the market of her closure of register date for her proposed 5 kobo dividend payout being from 13th May to 16th May 2008.
There was a total of 18,942 deals involving a volume of 18,942 shares valued at N8,351,324,203.53 as against last week Friday’s 581,106,932 unit shares valued at N9,545,603,782.12 in 17,665 deals.
However the Market Capitalisation moved up to N12,122,656,826,605.04 better than last fridays N12,060,882,911,515.80.
On the activity chart: IAINSURANCE stock placed first trading a volume of 196,028,000 shares valued at N278,359,760.00; second was ECOBANK with 37,228,298 shares valued at N384,933,512.21; third was LASACO which traded 34,478,601 shares valued at N155,889,985.98; fourth was UNIVINSURE with 33,079,629 shares traded at N99,050,149.41; while recently listed ASOSAVINGS is fifth on the list with 28,937,597 shares traded at N160,077,223.04
On the price movement chart: NESTLE came first gaining N5.83 to close at N230.00; second is GUINNESS gaining N4.99 to close at N132.00; third was
UACN after adding N2.32 to close at N48.82; CAP was fourth gaining N2.27 to close at N47.77; while ASHAKACEM is the fifth best price gainer adding N2.17 to close at N45.69
On the price loosers chart: first on the list is OANDO shedding N48.00 to close at N210.00; second is TOTAL loosing N11.98 to close at N227.97; third is CONOIL shedding N4.80 to close at N123.30; fourth is MOBIL loosing N1.90 to close at N226.11; while fifth on the list was UBN loosing N1.74 to close at N40.20
