The market’s All Share Index went down to 62,029.33 base points from yesterdays closing of 62,711.56 base points. A total of 18,417 deals involving a volume of 838,463,871 unit shares valued at N9,740,411,633.38 was recorded , as against yesterday’s 20,794 deals involving a volume of 826,199,502 unit shares valued at N14,918,332,299.36. The Market Capitalisation also went down to N11,943,354,518,875.85 from yesterdays N12,160,176,881,610.38. The market could be said to have looked downwards after a relative stablility recorded within the previous two days of the week.

The top 5 traded stoks of the day in a descending order included: (1) IANSURE having traded a share volume of 291,878,152 units valued at N520,134,453.85; (2) UNITYBANK traded a share volume of 37,147,235 valued at N255,816,527.74; (3) LINKAGE ASSURANCE traded a volume of 32,697,436 unit shares, worth N121,186,461.30; (4) UBA traded a volume of 28,553,692 unit shares worth N1,807,693,754.12 ; while (5) UNIVINSURE traded with a share volume of
25,771,208 units valued at N70,902,526.70.
The Top gainers list in a descending order includes: (1) NESTLE which gained N6.24 to close at N220.00; (2) 7UP gained N2.61 to close at N56.61; (3) BCC gained N2.31 to close at N48.51;
(4) WAPCO gained N1.50; (5) WAPCO gained N1.50 to close at N57.50.
On the other hand, the price losers list in a descending order includes: (1) Chevron losing N14.26 to close at N279.00; (2) Oando lost N11.00 to close at N209.00; (3) ETI lost N3.00 to close at N244.00; while (4) CADBURY lost N2.05 to close at N39.75.
