Recent results: Mobil and Dangote sugar

Mobil which closed her register on the 31st of April 2008 for her one-for-four bonus issue declearation made out of her earlier published full year ended 31st December 2007 result, recently released her unaudited First Quarter ended 31st March 2008, earnings result. The first quarter result shows: a Profit After Tax of N626m making a 25.70 percent growth on previous year 2007 comparable period of N498m; a Turnover of N15.686b as against a previous year’s comparable period of N14.577b, showing a 7.61 percent increase; a Profit Before Tax of N925m, 26.02 percent growth on comparable previous years N734m.
Dangote Sugar Refinary Plc, also presented her Unaudited First quarter result for the period ended 31st March 2008. The summary includes: a
Profit After Tax of N6.690b being a 24.63 percent growth on previous year 2007’s N5.368b; a Turnover of N20.943b as against previous year’s N20.036b, indicating a 4.53 percent improvement; a Profit Before Tax of N8.930b as against previous year’s N7.158b indicating a 24.76 percent rise.
