The market price index, continued on same downward direction initiated yesterday closing at an All Share Index of 61,263.14 base points, lower than yesterdays 62,029.33 base points. A total of 17,844 deals involving a volume of 509,004,856 unit shares valued at N8,467,712,293.05 was transacted upon today, as against yesterday’s 18,417 deals involving a volume of 838,463,871 unit shares valued at N9,740,411,633.38. The Market Capitalisation closed at N12,065,874,656,576.64 as against yesterday’s N11,943,354,518,875.85.

On the trade activity chart, the top five traded shares in a descending order includes: (1) IANSURE which traded 66,833,819 unit shares to close at N129,966,978.40; (2) FIDELITYBK traded a share volume of 24,419,919 worth N248,960,686.28; (3) UBA traded with a share volume 21,686,122 worth N1,362,741,928.96; (4) INTERCONTINENTAL traded with a share volume of
19,873,084 units worth N901,069,309.56; (5) DIAMONDBNK traded with a share volume of
17,629,108 units worth N337,061,770.15.
The top price gainers in a descending order includes: (1) NESTLE which gained N2.00 to close at N222.00; (2) PRESCO gained N1.26 to close at N26.55; (3) UAC gained N1.19 to close at N24.99; while (4) FLOURMILL gained N1.02 to close at N89.02.
On the other hand , the price losers in a descending order includes: (1) OANDO lost N10.45 to close at N198.55; (2) ETI lost N4.20 too close at N239.80; (3) CADBURY lost N1.77 to close at N37.98; while (4) BCC closed at N1.51 to close at N47.00.
