The Market closed in yet another bearish direction, as the All share index went down again to 60,570.00 base points lower than yesterday’s 61,263.14 base points. There were a total of 17,367 deals involving a volume of 1,499,370,750 unit shares valued at N9,507,788,120.15, as against yesterdays 17,844 deals involving a volume of 509,004,856 unit shares valued at N8,467,712,293.05. The Market Capitalisation closed at N11,929,418,803,348.28, a value lower than yesterdays N12,065,874,656,576.64. The market value can be said to be droping gradually since Wednesday after showing some stability on the Monday and Tuesday of this week.

The top traded stocks listed in a descending order includes: (1) IAINSURE, which traded a share volume of 1,138,641,291 valued at N2,262,877,142.25; (2) UBA traded 31,333,581 unit shares valued at N1,958,158,436.67; (3) LASACO traded with a share volume of 20,028,084 worth N77,935,057.36; (4) HMARKINS traded a volume of 19,985,367 unit shares worth N59,591,791.55; while (5) TRANSCORP traded a share volume of 18,467,036 valued at N51,442,395.02.
The top gainers list in descending order includes: (1) CHEVRON, which gained N11.00 to close at N290.00; (2) GUINNESS gained N4.95 to close at N132.00; (3) 7UP gained N2.39 to close at N59.00; (4) BCC gained N2.00 to close at N49.00.
While the price losers includes: (1) OANDO lost N8.56 to close at N189.99;
(2) CONOIL lost N6.40 to close at N121.60; (3) NESTLE lost N4.00 to close at N218.00; (4) ASHAKACEM lost N2.25 to close at N42.75.
