The market closed for trading today with an All Share Index of 54,601.91 points as against yesterdays 54,908.50 points, idicating a slight decrease in prices. There was a total of 19,276 deals involving a volume of 1,554,709,458 unit shares valued at N12,917,304,806.57; as against yesterday’s 18,702 deals, involving a volume of 1,459,738,215 unit shares valued at N8,236,863,440.77. While the Market Capitalisation took an upward glide to close at N10,839,843,970,827.58 as against yesterday’s N10,769,353,785,142.55

The market movers of the day volume wise includes: (1) IANSURE traded with a volume of
929,722,908 unit shares valued at N826,040,348.23; (2) INTERCONT traded 168,458,986 unit shares valued at N5,419,797,331.01; (3) FIDELITYBK traded 51,929,959 unit shares valued at N526,538,783.04; (4) ASOSAVINGS traded a volume of 31,114,727 unit shares valued at N120,748,332.45; (5) FIRSTINLND traded with 27,387,975 unit shares valued at N227,063,363.28.
The top price gainers of the day includes: (1) MOBIL gained N9.84 to close at N206.71; (2) INTERCONT gained N1.51 to close at N32.96; (3) PZ gained N1.30 to close at N27.30; (4) UAC-PROP gained N1.20 to close at N27.30.
On the other hand, the price losers of the day includes: (1) GUINNESS which lost N2.00 to close at N128.00; (2) DANGFLOUR lost N1.27 to close at N24.22; (3) GUARANTY lost N1.10 to close at N26.90; (4) DANGSUGAR lost N1.00 to close at N31.50
