Red star and ABC release results

Red star express plc, recently made available her fully audited result for the year ended 31st of March 2008, proposing a 25 Kobo per share dividend. The company registers closure date for the proposed dividend is from 24th to 27th of July 2008, while the date for payment of the proposed dividend is the 29th of July 2008.

Other features of the result includes: a Turnover figure of N3.098 billion in 2008, as against a N2.668 billion in comparable previous year 2007; a Profit Before Tax of N305.544 million, as against a previous year 2007’s figure of N221.692 million; and a Profit After Tax of N195.683 million, as against previous year 2007’s posting of N118.484 million.
Associated Bus company plc also released a fully audited result for the year ended 31st December 2007. The company directors also proposed an 8 Kobo per share dividend with 7th of August 2008 as the closure date, and actual payment of dividend date scheduled for the 3rd of September 2008.
The ABC plc’s full year result also shows: a Turnover of N3.132 billion as against previous year 2006’s figure of N2.708 billion; a Profit After Tax of N141.252 million in 2007, as against previous year 2006 figure of N143.009 million, indicating a decrease in profit by 1.23 percent.
Associated Bus Company (ABC) plc, also presented her unaudited 1st quarter ended 31st December 2008 result. The First quarter result shows as follows: a Turnover of N830.299 million as against a previous year 2007’s comparable periods posting of N716.282 million; a Profit After Tax of N62.945 million as against a previous year’s comparable periods posting of N50.168 million.
