Stanbic IBTC Bank Plc, Eterna Oil Plc release results.

Today Stanbic IBTC Bank released its results for the third quarter ended 31 December 2007 to the floors of the Nigerian Stock Exchange. A comparative breakdown of the results showed that its gross earnings increased by 36.60 percent from N21.123 billion in March 2007 to N28.855 billion in December 2007. Profit before tax for the period grew by 47.86 percent from N7.434 billion in March 2007 to N10.992 billion in December 2007. After tax profit headed northwards by 36.22 percent from N5.762 billion in March 2007 to N7.849 billion in December 2007.
The company has proposed to pay a dividend of 30 kobo, its closure of register is 17th - 23rd July 2008.

Eternal Oil Plc.

In its second quarter results for the period ended 30 June 2008, the oil marketing company increased its turnover by 12.01 percent from N3.272 billion in the same period in 2007 to N3.665 billion in 2008. Profit before tax grew by 86.36 percent from 0.044 billion in 2007 to N0.082 billion in 2008. After tax profit appreciated by 87.10 percent from N0.031 billion in 2007 to N0.058 billion in 2008.
