Recently released results: Crusader and Ellah lakes

Crusader Nigeria plc released her first quarter unaudited account for the period ended 31st March 2008 to the Nigerian Stock Exchange today. A previously Insurance sector listed company which recently applied to and is now listed under the General Financial sector of the Nigerian stock Exchange. The result features: a Turnover figure of N1.158 bilion as against a previous year comparable period of N757.248 million; a Profit Before Taxation of N520.441 million as against previous N757.248 million; while the Profit Before Taxation posted was N485.532 million as against previous year comparable periods figure of N485.532 million.

In same vein Ellah lakes plc also released her 3rd quarter unuadited account for the period ended 30th April 2008. The result released today to the Nigerian Stock Exchange brokers includes: a Turnover of N30.986 million which was less than previous year comparable figure of N32.027 million indicating a percentage decline; a Profit Before Taxation of N7.697 as against previous year comparable figure of N2.806 million; the Profit After Tax figure remained same as the Profit Before Taxation, indicating a tax relief for the company being an Agricultural sector company.
