The Market Capitalisation also dropped to N10.091 trillion as against yesterday’s N10.432 trillion. There was a total of 15,095 deals involving a total volume of 668,611,304 unit shares valued at only N10.526 billion as against yesterday’s 15,141 deals involving a volume of 587,460,845 unit shares valued at N7,487,366,772.09. Most market analysts expressed optimism that the market’s bearish trend has most probably gotten to a limit in terms of prices.
The most traded stock of the day in descending order includes: (1) FCMB which traded a volume of 210,405,160 unit shares valued at N3,029,402,829.98; (2) IAINSURE traded a volume of 60,436,575 unit shares valued at N43,789,084.66 ; (3) FIDELITYBK traded a volume of 44,737,209 unit shares valued at N383,215,981.32; (4) LASACO traded with
26,742,160 unit shares valued at N74,904,016.56; while (5) ZENITHBANK traded
23,709,521 unit shares valued at N958,580,825.85 .
The top price gainers of the day includes: (1) BCC which gained N2.45 to close at N51.45; (2) GLAXOSMITH gained N1.00 to close at N23.00; (3) DANGSUGAR gained N0.92 to close at N28.00; (4) DANGFLOUR gained N0.62 to close at N21.00.
on the other hand, the price losers in descending order includes: (1) CHEVRON lost
N15.15 to close at N287.86; (2) MOBIL lost N11.22 to close at N215.54; (3) OANDO lost N9.88 to close at N188.11; while (4) GUINNESS lost N6.39 to close at N121.50.
