The Nigerian Stock Exchange closed just 13 notches downwards to 50,393.75 bases points as against yesterdays 50,393.88 bases points. The Market Capitalization also went down to N10.03 trillion as against yesterdays N10.091 trillion. There was a total of 16,822 deals involving a volume of 1,172,038,005 unit shares valued at N13,157,530,199.86; as against yesterday’s 15,095 deals involving a total volume of 668,611,304 unit shares valued at only N10.526 billion.

The market movers of the day volume-wise includes: (1) IAINSURE which traded with a volume of 493,512,205 unit shares valued at N351,539,671.83; (2) INTERCONT traded with 208,311,166 unit shares valued at N6,095,357,519.79; (3) TRANSCORP traded with 70,515,792 unit shares valued at N162,120,059.07; (4) SKYEBANK traded with 25,807,411 unit shares valued at N341,378,029.04; (5) FIDELITYBK traded with 23,796,231 unit shares valued at N200,528,540.76.
The price gainers of the day in descending order includes: (1) MOBIL gained N10.73 to close at N226.27; (2) OANDO gained N9.40 to close at N197.51; (3) JBERGER gained N5.73 to close at N120.33; while (4) ETI gained N1.82 to close at N38.22.
On the other hand, the top price losers in descending order includes: (1) CHEVRON
which lost N14.38 to close at N273.48; (2) NESTLE lost N6.01 to close at N219.99; (3) FLOURMILL lost N3.28 to close at N62.37; while (4) FIRSTBANK lost N1.94 to close at N40.02.
