The market’s All Share Price index closed upward for the first time this week at 50,422.78 base points as against yesterday’s 50,393.75 base points. The Market Capitalization also went up to N10.102 trillion as against yesterday’s N10.03 trillion. There was a total of 13,319 deals involving a volume of 758,221,253 unit shares valued at N5,893,744,151.65; as against yesterday’s 16,822 deals involving a volume of 1,172,038,005 unit shares valued at N13,157,530,199.86. The much predicted re-bounce of the market (bullish trend) may have started today after a long bearish market correction stage.

The Market movers of the day with respect to share volume includes: (1) IAINSURE which traded with a volume of 387,232,890 unit shares valued at N285,927,045.63; (2) UNIVINSURE traded with a volume of 49,152,781 unit shares valued at N75,219,068.03; (3) PLATINUM traded with a volume of 37,308,224 unit shares valued at N779,837,308.05; (4) OCEANIC traded with 23,835,600 unit shares valued at N486,541,445.26; while (5) FIRSTBANK traded with 22,229,773 unit shares valued at N912,655,012.95.
The top price gainers in descending order includes: (1) ETI which gained N1.91 to close at N40.13; (2) PLATINUM gained N1.02 to close at N21.96; (3) NESTLE gained N1.01 to close at N221.00; (4) INTERCONT gained N1.01 to close at N30.00;
On the other hand, the price losers of the day includes: (1) CHEVRON having lost N13.67 to close at N259.81; (2) OANDO lost N9.51 to close at N188.00; (3) MOBIL lost N6.07 to close at N220.20; while (4) CAP lost N2.84 to close at N54.01.
