Consolidated hallmark Insurance plc has released its unaudited results for the half year ended June 2008 to dealing members of the Nigerian Stock Exchange. Highlights of the results which seem impressive showed that the company grew its gross premium during the period by 143.94 percent from N0.578 billion in 2007 to N1.410 billion in 2008. Profit before tax went up by 180.95 percent from N0.189 billion in 2007 to N0.531 billion in 2008. After tax profit was also good as it stood at N0.474 billion compared to N0.164 billion recorded in the same period last year showing an increase of 189.02 percent.

Comparative analysis of the company’s half year results for the period ended June 30 2008 just made public showed that the results was good. It posted a profit after tax of N0.68 billion compared to N0.301 billion in 2007 indicating a growth of 125.91 percent. Gross premium increased by 111.89 percent from N0.656 billion in 2007 to N1.390 billion in 2008. Profit before tax appreciated by 125.67 percent from N0.335 billion in 2007 to N0.756 billion in 2008.
