Yesterday the financial institution released its unaudited fourth quarter results for the period ended 30 September 2008 to the floors of the Nigerian Stock Exchange. Highligths of the results showed that the bank moved its turnover from N74.936 billion in 2007 to N150.944 billion in 2008 showing an increase of 101.43 percent.
Profit before tax grew by 127.09 percent from N23.000 billion in 2007 to N52.23 billion in 2008. After tax profit also appreciated interestingly by 135.14 percent from N17.537 billion in 2007 to N41.236 billion in comparable period of 2008.

Fidelity bank plc.

A dividend of 30 kobo has been proposed by the board of directors of Fidelity bank plc for it financial year ended 30 June 2008. Its results which was made public recently showed that it performed well in its last financial year. Turnover during the period grew by 71.41 percent from N24.853 billion in 2007 to N42.600 billion in 2008. Profit before tax stood at N16.305 billion comparable with N5.111 billion recorded in 2007, showing a growth of 219.02 percent.
After tax profit increased by 183.33 percent from N4.714 billion in 2007 to N13.356 billion in 2008. Register closes on 13th - 17th October, 2008 and payment date is 13th November, 2008.

    Great to hear this about fidelity,but would this have an inpact on the last public offer buyers?

    I note that banks seem to have different financial year ends in Nigeriahich I think makes it tougher to compare performance
