The Half Year Ended 30th September 2008 of UNIVERSITY PRESS PLC was made available to the Nigerian Stock Exchange yesterday. The very impresive 6 months Earnings Summary showed: a Turnover of N714.495 million as against previous year comparable periods figure of N383.549 million, indicating an 86 percent increase; Profit Before Taxation of N168.235 million as against previous year comparable periods figure of N55.629 million, a 202 perecent growth; while the Profit After Tax stood at N117.561 million, being a 203 percent growth on the previous year comparable periods N38.828 million. The printing industry listed company whose market price has dropped to almost half the value as at the beginning of the year can be said to have improved drastically on their management efficiency.

While LIVESTOCK FEEDS PLC, presented its October to December 2008’s Forecast Profit and Loss Accounts Information. The summarised earnings Forecast indicates: a Turnover of N886.600 million; Cost of Sales figure of N771.342 million; Profit Before Taxation of N51.302 million; forecast taxation of N10.260 million; and a Profit After Taxation of N41.041 million.
