The DARR communications offer has come and gone while the company has also being listed on the floor of the Nigerian stock exchange. Apart from the general downward trend that has bewildered the Nigerian market as well as the world markets in general, all seems to be well with the company.
This is evident as the company some weeks ago launched its direct to home satellite service which boasts of over 30 channels. However, one issue that seems to be bugging investors especially those that have sent in comments on this blog is the issue of share certificates.
Many investors that bought into the offer are yet to receive their share certificates or have them credited to their CSCS accounts . This is an issue that has has lingered for long and seems far from being resolved. It would be recalled that subscribers to the offer which took place in February 2008 were promised that share certificates would reach them six weeks after the offer closed.
If you are one of the many that are yet to get your certificate, please visit First Registras. The company is responsible for dispatch of certificates. If when filling the offer form you indicated that you wanted your shares to be credited directly to your CSCS account, then do not expect any certificate.Instead, visit the CSCS office in Lagos and clarify from the the situation of things.
Please be informed that immediate action is necessary as the issuance share certificates (hard copy) is expected to end by December 31, 2008. If this eventually holds, investors might have difficulty tackling this issue.

like i said above,if you filled in your CSCS number, the shares you bought would be credited directly to your account. If not,visit first registras for more information. They are the company that handled the offer
I got mine about a month back.The delays probably have to with the large volume of subscriptions cum manpower shortage to process quick enough.In anycase,Chuks has a pointer there
i bought Daar shares in Febuary, and thank God I’ve received my certificate. this is how it is meant to be, not where one has to wait for years to receive a share certificate.

I am the above named person, a student of Federal University of Technology Owerri. I bought a Daar Comms SHARE from Oceanic Bank Int’l in the amount of #40,000.00 and indicated that my CERTIFICATE sould be sent to my home address at no: 10 Alor Street Nkpor Onitsha but have not received anything yet. Please, I now have a post office address at: 4043 Odakpu Onitsha. It can as well be sent to that address.
I await a significant change as I will not like to loose the little money starved myself to invest.
