Default PHB Bank

Guys, I received a phone call this morning from a girl from Daimond bank (the call is from a mobile phone) and she informed me that they want to refund me my money as the share was over subscribed, then I started asking her question why are they refunding my whole money without me not even getting anything at all, she then said that she will call back and drop the phone and has not call back. Has anybody who subscribe to this share had such call and what shall I do now?

I was a bit suprice that I was called rather than them writing me to notify me if this is true. Any response will be higly appreciated.

Must be a 419 call. I hope you did not give them your bank account details so that they will pay the money into your acccount? No way anyone would call you to tell you BankPHP is oversubscribed, the offer just closed about a month ago.

shine your eyes, but most importantly dont be a victim.
if you have a register of the number that called you,you can investigate more by calling back the number or through the appropriate phone company.

Thanks guys for the advise and support, I thought as much that phone call could have been a 419er, hence the reason for posting it here.
I did not provide any personal information.

By the way how did they get your number? Did you include your number in your application form?

Dont underestimate the 'yahoo' boys. Even ur complimentary card left somewhere is enough for them to get ur phone number.

I think you should follow it up by calling diamond bank ( if thats where you made your purchase) or other wise get in touch with the place you bought the offer.
I got a mail from a stockbroker i used (not my broker anyway) that most forms submitted in the last days of the two weeks open window were not accepted and mine was among.
So find out whats happening,

That would be an unethical/illegal thing and I strongly feel that this Forum should not be used for such a thing. I would urge readers to beware of scams.

With regards to above incident, and as advised by the group I have made an official complaint to both Diamond bank where I made the payment for the shares and to the Bank PHB, and this was the feedback I got from Diamond bank:

Dear Jerry Duruiheoma,
Thank you for contacting Diamond Bank. With the details you have provided below, this issue will be investigated and properly addressed. Please be patient with us as we will contact you shortly on this.
We sincerlely apologise for the inconveniences this would have caused you.

Thank you for your interest in Diamond Bank.

Regards

I will keep you guys update as to what came out of the investigation.

Thanks

Jerry

My brother, in line with current norms, it was oversubscribed. I think 10,000 units or 8,000 units and below got full subscription. I expect the results to be announced anytime soon
