Just out of curiosity, do Nigerian banks have R&D departments?

I think so too, no wonder all our banking products mirror each other. I'm currently researching something that requires some specialised banking service and was stunned to find out that only 3 banks offered the service and out of the 3 only one offered it in a capacity that would be useful (and even thats still limited), o and guess what? The bank that almost had what i needed is IBTC, foreign owned.

It just goes to show that the bank do not need much effort to make money. That is why despite all the good results been churned out by these banks, i am looking for a bank that provide specialized services that will stand the test of time instead of just doing what others are doing. You would expect ETI with all its international exposure to do better . When the competition gets stiff , only the innovative will survive . if you dont mind me asking, what kind of services were you looking for ? I believe we have some bankers in the forum and they could throw more light .
