Nigerians always live helplessly when things go bad around them. When someone rise up, other Nigerians react in disdain. We cannot progress this way. If Tunisians had thumbed up their noses at Bouazizi, the Middle East would have remained in the stranglehold of dictators.

This man's fight is honorable. In a country where honor is a currency, many other ex-bankers and current bankers would have joined this man in his tent because they may be affected tomorrow. This man had N29,000 to spare to build a tent... he is not hungry, he only wants justice.

The consolidation affected him in 2005 and since then he didn't know he will go on hunger strike. He started his hunger strike just this month--November 2012!

If he still has money, let him go to court against the management of the firm where he worked. His employment and termination is written out on a paper! Let him contest it in court! And not sitting at the roundabout looking for BB-bearing people[to snap him] to discuss his case of all social networking sites.

This kind of thinking (every man for himself) is not what brought developed economies to where they are. Read the article "They are Still our Slaves" and you will see why the talented tenth in the black race have not been able to impact Africa. How did Occupy Wall Street start?

The problem here is not the mans action or timing...The problem is whether our Government cares about this guy or any othe rpersons fate in this country...Do you think sanusi or the government will act positively to this guy plight...The answer is NO.

This is why the Govt continues to take us for a ride. Simply because we assume (wrongly) that nothing will come out of it no matter what we do. You probably don't know how Abuja was shaken with the fuel subsidy protest. Let only 50% of bankers down tools in Lagos and join this man day in day out for just three days and see if this kind of nonsense will not be history. But will they? No. Because every man is for himself.

The guy should know that hunger strike does not work in a country where the government allows hunger to kill its citizens on daily basis.

Its only bombing and militancy that scares the government into action.

What will he achieve by occupying a roundabout? He should simply go the legal way! If it was stated in your contract that you would be compensated in full upon exit, then the court will look into that. And not just occupying a street!

Which one concern FGN with bank failure? The government owes this guy NOTHING, this is a capitalist society, you win some you lose some. Personally I've done a deal (show biz event) where I lost virtually all my money and was still owing people who I borrowed money from, did I go camp out and cry? No! What KOD is saying would have made sense if this guy was crying about some social injustice, maybe govt demolished his house without adequate compensation or something of that nature but to complain that govt should pay him after his company closed down… the guy no get point at all.

Is there a law that states that the govt compensates bank workers in the event of a banks failure? If there isn't this man just wants to go an a diet

I agree with you in the sense that the government felt the impact of the fuel subsidy strike but where is NLC now or the bankers association of Nigeria concerning this mans fate? They are no where to be found because they see no gain for themselves....I have come to realize that this is a country were the government does not care about it citizens, the judiciary system is full with fraudulent judges and lawmakers break the law...

Mind you operation occupy wall street was well planned and organised with the back of some parastatals...People did not wake up one day to occupy wall street....Everything thing should be strategized and planned in an organized fashion
