In India, a man(Anna Hazare) went on hunger strike because of the magnitude of corruption prevalent in the state of India. This is a global problem and this man is putting India's govt. on their toes to do something positive to save the suffering indian masses. But he did not go on hunger strike because some persons were wrongly discharged from his/her appointment.

Check the asians going on hunger strike and tell me if it is just because of this flimpsy reason that led to that. It is either for the govt. to look at the mass self-immolation or for the govt. to reduce the injustice done to the people. And not for a selfish,self-centred interest!

Now let me catch you! If he is settled with his other colleagues, and the same treatment repeated to other people in other states, will the same roundabout-occupying man go on hunger strike for these other new group. I doubt if he will! So he will be applying all-man-for-himself- approach!

Infact, occupy wall street occured as a result of people fighting against a global cause....The movement is inspired by popular uprisings in Egypt and Tunisia, and aims to fight back against the richest 1% of people that are writing the rules of an unfair global economy that is foreclosing on our future.

The occupations around the world are being organized using a non-binding consensus based collective decision making tool known as a "people's assembly".
From what i know when people go on hunger strike, they are not fighting for their own self interest or gains, but they are fighting for the benefits of other people..If this guy was fighting for all the affected bankers in hallmark bank and other closed bank, definately he will get some support.

The issue the hunger strike man is pursuing is simple. At the point of consolidation, severance benefits of some bankers were computed and credited to their accounts-savings and current while others were not so lucky. However, NDIC did not pay balances in most staff accounts and remained so till date.The man either belong to the group having their severance benefit in their account not paid or those that were not even computed for.Whichever one he deserved a listening ear from the authority.

If this man gets his pay and other people are laid off in other states, will he still go on hunger strike on behalf of those laid off???? He will not!

While he was at work in the same bank, people must have been laid off. Did he contest that? Did he spar with his employer? Now that it involved him, he is sitting at a roundabout drawing pity!

And the solution is very simple! He should stand up, leave the roundabout and then go to NDIC office and sit there and continue his picnic!

Obama had those policies prior to the #Occupy movement, remember the auto industry bailout and the private jet fiasco? There were already strong calls for reigning in outrageous pay-packages so the occupy movement can't lay claim to any changes. In fact, even with the benefit of hind sight, can anyone state clearly what the occupy movement was about?

If this guy will want to get justice he should get the backing of bankers association of nigeria and NLC then you will see the government shaking, but instead he went to sit down on the main road saying he is on hunger strike....
Mind you operation occupy wall street was well planned and organised with the back of some parastatals...People did not wake up one day to occupy wall street....Everything thing should be strategized and planned in an organized fashion

who is suppose to compensate the man self? is it the owners of the bank who lost their investments or the government who does not have any contract with him. he was working for a private firm which close business because they could not meetup with regulatory authority. tomorrow if NAFDAC seal a company premises the staff will say make government compensate them? the man is just seeking attention.

Thank you jare. the Occupy movement was just an answer to TEA party. There are both political platforms energising their bases for November. That was why i dey laugh when Bakare and his strange bed fellows were picnicking in Ojota and calling themselves "Occupiers".
