My brokers do not know what is going on either. Nothing has been received at the postal address (PO Box) in Lagos that I wrote on the form.
Please mbers, how will I know how many units was alloted to me if any and get the certificate? How to get my money back if nothing was alloted to me ?
This PO took place about a year ago.
Thanks,

Fidelity Bank Declared Africa’s Best in CSR
10.12.2008

Honour on an international scale came the way of Nigeria’s Fidelity Bank Plc at the weekend for her efforts in the area of social investing.

At a colourful ceremony at Willard Intercontinental Hotel in Washington DC, United States, on Friday night, Fidelity Bank was declared Africa’s Most Socially Responsible Bank by the African Banker Magazine.

The Award Ceremony hosted by the 41 year-old magazine, published out of London, was part of the events of the 2008 IMF-World Bank meetings holding in Washington DC.

The Friday night event was attended by 25 Finance Ministers and 17 Central Bank Governors from Africa as well World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF) executives.

According to Mr. Omar Ben Yedder, publisher of the African Banker which also has in its stable, the African Economy and the New African magazines, and Awards Coordinator, Anna Rosenberg, the awards are to encourage world class practices among African banks.

Fidelity Bank beat a Nigerian bank and three other nominated banks: Arab African International Bank; Nedbank of South Africa and United Bank of South Africa.

What is the cut-off for participation in dividend? I bought FIDELITYBK in early September and was wondering if I'll be included in the dividend payment.

Thanks; that answers my question. It doesn't matter when the purchase was made, right?

All those that buy before the day the register is closed qualify for dividend. In this case, you bought well before the qualifying date.

Yes you do qualify for any bonus after June 2007. Recall that the last bonus declared was for year end June 2008.

This is an excerpt from from the 2007 PO prospectus.

Status: The new shares when fully subscribed will rank pari- passu in all respects with the existing Ordinary Shares of Fidelity Bank except that they will not qualify for any dividend or bonus declared for the year ended 30th, June, 2007. The shares also qualify as securities in which trustees may invest under the Trustees Investment Act Cap T22 LFN 2004

Is there a reason why you're still holding on to it? If you didn't have it, would you buy it now? If not, you may want to cut your losses. But, do your own research as no one has a silver bullet on stock movements.

Sit and wait. Time will lead you to decide your next move. Do not sell, and do not buy. I also have FB Shares. This is what i have decided to do.Good luck to you.

If you like the stock that much, why don't you buy more!!! If you know it will definitely go down tomorrow, the next day, the day after that...on and on, why don't you buy it when it's cheaper so you can have more of it with the same amount of money.
You are dealing with this emotional which is the worst way to trade!!
