Default Oceanic bank's value

@Shigidi,

Please can you explain with figures why you think Oceanic bank is currently under-valued? Also what do you think is it's fair price?

Talking about undervalue, have they listed their new shares from the last public offer. Who knows the number of shares they have from the PO. I personally do not see Oceanic going beyound N30 this year (except if there is any other news like foriegn investors etc) .
Intercontinental has a better valuation but they are delaying listing the units from their last PO because that will push down their valuation and their share price. We need to understand the games with these banks.

Oceanic will certainly go beyond N30 by year end. Their end of year is just round the corner, and you can expect another round of bonus + dividend.

The rally for intercontinental will happen early next year nearing their end of year.

well, looking at it from the angle of possible bonus and dividene, they might go as far as 35-40.
remember that the highest oceanic price this year was 33.
so they can still get their and surpass it.

chymex, i deduced oceanic is undervalued from their p/e ratio. itsw the lowest among all banking stocks in their third quarter.

for people who may be interested in short time investment oceanic is one of the banking stock that is advisable for now. Get it now because oceanic is closing her accounting year end of this month.

Default Are You Sure Of Your Advice?

What will happen to the share price of Oceanic once people begin to receive their certificates or have their allotments credited to their CSCS account? Did you give thought to this?

This is really no different from what has been happening in the last 6 weeks at least. Most stocks on the NSE has been on a losing streak overall

I will add Union Bank, it will likely experience a bull's run once they announce their delayed end of year result, money can be made in the short term. This may also be buoyed by recent news of offer to foreign investors/banks like HSBE, Citi Group etc to buy into the bank. I wonder if people will agree with my speculative analysis.

Oceanic will do well but am only afraid that now they have too many mouths to feed cause of the new shares which are still unlisted.

Union bank are still asleep, untill they wake up to present reality about the changes that the bank so desperately needs, am not jumping in, I will neither sell.

Prices do go up towards closing period, mainly because of demand by investors taking position in anticipation of bonus or dividend or both.

Not always, though. Guinness has remained where it has been for months now even though they closed in June. Funny stock with sound fundamentals, and yet

Default Oceanic

I have been counting my eggs since the Public offer of April/May. Pls does anyone know when the allotment and release of certificate of shares will be done. I hope investors will not be caught offside by not been paid dividends for the year ended result because the net proceed was not released to the Bank in time.
