The way I see it now, many of these companies already have institutional investors ready to take up the offers. Stanbic applied for around 55% of the shares on offer for Access PO.

That aside, Zenith has always delivered so I think they should be given benefit of the doubt. This is another PO that anyone should regret not taking part of.

Default Frequent PO trips by "Successful" Companies

Frequent PO trips by "Successful" Companies can be viewed in many ways
  1. Are they really depriving others? Will people invest in a new PO from an unsuccessful or non performing company if Zenith does not do an offer?
  2. For some of these "successful" companies, if they package a PO and offer it only to big investors only, the shares will be picked up without hesitaton. Doing a PO makes it a "Publicly owned company" for all to evaluate its current position and decide to invest more or not.
  3. Capital market belongs to all TO FREELY TRADE AND ABIDE BY THE RULES. Are they breaking any law?
  4. Are they forcing anybody to buy? People want to even invest more.
  5. Even frequent POs may even be beneficial to the general public. It could make the general PE for offers to go down as all are competing for funds from the same public. If for example, Zenith prices itself too high and another "good" company, because of its less known nature, prices itself at a lower price value, buyers with increasing awareness will shift.
