There are a million and one sites you can check the current market prices of stock from.
I will advise you register with any of these sites - www.nigeriansecurities.com; www.fsdhsecurities.com; Welcome to IBTC Chartered Bank plc. It's free to register. You can also see the prices on zenith's and vetiva's website.
hope this helps and hope you also have a large quantity of those UBA shares. I have started accumulating mine.

The forward PE (+/- 16) of UBA is very good. This is a RIPE PE for share dilution. I believe the lack of appreciation is the perception of a pending share dilution, either through equity foreign investment or PO.

Additionally, the actions of UBA management also indirectly supports this.
  1. There is (or was) the issue of a Chinese bank(s) buying into it. Although the chinese bank(s) denied(?), foreign investor equity participation is not completely ruled out.
  2. UBA mgt just got an approval of the share holders NOW to increase their authorised share capital. Although not conclusive. this suggests a form of dilution NOW. If it is for bonus issue issue, why not wait for the end of their financial year to do this? I do not expect Tony to say openly that it is for share dilution. If he says so, he knows it will affect their share price

In my own opinioun, what will make UBA to appreciate quickly is if it secures a BIG LOAN for a foreign investor without equity investment. This can not be ruled out.

Over a year ago, i once told some of my investment friends that very soon, all the banks in Nigeria won't see UBA's back. I guess it's fast emerging.

@Abeskey
UBA is currently not in the primary market and from all indications, they don't have plans to be there in the near future. So if you want to cash in on their future prospects, it's best you go through the secondary market.

Default Uba Certificate (2007 Po).

UBA Certificate.

I bought the last public offer (April 2007)of UBA. I have been going to the Registrars since November last year and they keep telling me they have mailed my certificate. Up till today I am yet to receive it. I have been going to the post office to inquire but nothing had come I am always told. I shall appreciate if any member of the house had got his/her certificate. I bought just less than 50,000 units.

I am once again asking members of this forum to please share with me their experience with the receipt or otherwise of their UBA certificate of the 2007 public offer. My situation as I presented in the above quote of 19 February has not changed. I am really worried please. Am I the only one in this dilemma? Kindly let me know your own situation.

I got my certificate in December 2007. Infact UBA was far more efficient than Oceanic. If the registrar says its been posted there is not much u can do for now. A replacement can only be issued one year after.

I don't know how it is done but i don't think you have to wait that long to get a replacement. I guess you should discuss the replacement with your broker and he would be in a better position to advise you on how to go about replacement.
