About time!! I said it earlier it would have been a travesty not to aloow Kenny move up to the MD position. Kudos to all of them including the incumbent who initially was starting to annoy me. Maybe Yaradua will take a queue from this, if he is still consious

What will be the likely effect of this news on the price of this stock?. It has been gaining for some days now. Were some privileged investors already reacting to this news before now?. Iam now sitting on about 34% profit on this stock and was considering taking the profit tomorrow before this breaking news.

Well, that will be interesting. They have one of the least outstanding shares, so this is a possibility.

I don't know if it is wise right now. Based on valuation, most are beginning to look expensive even without factoring in margin loans.

For example, if GTB delivers N30B (and this is some achievement), the current PE will be around 12x. Not too expensive, but not so cheap either.

Let's look at FBN as another example. If they deliver N40B, the current PE will be around 12x as well so we have the same challenge. The stock is not so cheap and N40B PAT will be decent performance by FBN.

Zenith needs to deliver N35B for current PE of 12x.

Bearing in mind that most of these banks will deliver results hampered by provisions for FY 2009, they are not looking great at current prices.

Oga Pumping. The young fella is not asking for things based on valuation, fundamental analysis etc. But I understand as a guru you have a reputation to protect

Anyways for whatever it is worth, if one wants a hot bank stock to speculate in this clime, I would say Spring Bank. It closed N1.34 today and there is a high probability it will give 20 - 30% capital appreciation before the end of two months.

The reason is not fundamental anything. It is just 'positioning'. I wish I can elaborate but I cant.

Repu...wetin....for where...?

Elaborate sef...abi now?

As per specuation with the banks, I think this is the wrong time. 2-3 months will take one into the FY reporting season. Alarm fit go blow for that time.

In addition to your suggestion, I can take a risk with Fidelity.

This explains its sudden surge in the net bid category, at least i struck gold on this one, I might just hang around for the bonus too before moving on

Are you expecting the bonus announcement before the FY result is released? Otherwise, this may not happen till March. What do you think?

What do you mean that Spring bank is already on net bid? It has been on net bid since middle of January and has gained almost 100% since then moving from 70k to 1.34k today.

The stock has already gained 95% since 2nd week of January and you are talking about another 20 -30%. This is like joining the party rather late with risk of price depression due to profit taking. I guess if we don't have this insider jist, on all grounds, it will be ultra risky to enter the stock right now. So, share with us jo....20% is a lot of something in my portfolio...

I was kinda relaxed when I heard about a possible bonus move on this forum and will sound my broker out on it after friday trading...the guy must be sleepin by now, make he no say my love of kudi is too much

Thanks alot, i appreciate. But i nor fit leave my very very small and new portfolio dormant na!

sometimes it's better to leave your portfolio dormant than watch it disappear if you invest o
