These are trailing PEs. Not as important as forward PEs which factor in future growth and possible dilutiion of shares.

Sure pumping. Forward EPS&PEs are not so readily available. Currently i think only IBTC stock select gives info on forward EPS & PEs of stocks. And even taht as i have noticed atimes is not consistent

You're right. In any case, it can't be cosistent. It depends on the basis for determing the full year PAT.

nigeriansecurities.com also has this in their valuation section including the projected pat.

Tanx pumping. Can i interest u wt a question. Per accountin standards, EPS is computed based on weighted average no of shares in issue while DPS is based on actual shares qualified for div. Given these, it is not reasonable that atimes div might be more than eps especially if new issues were undertaken.

DPS should not be projected simply because a company is not bound to declare a dividend, and even if they will, there is no way of predicting how much will be set aside for this.

DPS cannot be more than EPS at the same point in time because dividends are paid from earnings. Dividends don't show the whole picture. Earnings give a better picture than dividends because it can be used as a basis of estimating growth rate.
