The trading has started. I sold 9000 units of RT Briscoe today at N3.01 and bought 26,500 units of Aiico at N1.03. The cost of transactions caused a drag on the portfolio and it is underperforming both on a daily and inception-to-date bases.

The portfolio is taking some serious hit but none of the stocks have hit the sell trigger. I bought 9000 units of RT Briscoe into the portfolio today.

There is nothing fundamental behind selecting this stock. The purchase is based purely on technical indicators. The addition of the stock has significantly driven the risk level of the portfolio up. But how can one make good returns without taking up a little risk here and there?

I am waiting for the market to rebound....

I did not buy any stock on the floor today. The portfolio took a hit but patience is the name of the game. I am eying another stock at the moment and waiting for the right signals pounce.
