Not a guru but have something to say.

Better to use the price (not average price) on the day the shares were sold.

You may have to adjust a bit :
your shares cannot be sold at a price lower that the day's low or higher than the day's high.
Most probable price may rest in between the day's High & Low.

Goodluck in monitoring!

About 70% increase in PAT is no joke for a manufacturing industry. The new management is now giving 100% EPS as dividend. They made N2.50 dividend last year, I think they should be able to do about N3.50 this year. Anyways its a very good stock to buy NOW.

The problem with this stock for me is capital appreciation. I bought into this stock in july 2007 and have avreaged up to give a buying price of =N=41.36.
Since then, this stock hass given me a miserly appreciation of about 20% after 9 months.
Anywayz, I am a long termer so not really bothered but this has affected my desire to acquire more. I will wait till I have excess funds before going into this one but going by valuation, this is one stock to have.

I believe dat the near future performance of the stock will exceed the expectation of most investors.

Glad you are a long termer, 'cause the stock will easily hit N100 within one year.

With the recent announcement of 100% dividend policy by the management, and the forecast eps growth; using a non-complicated valuation model like the constant growth (%) DDM the sky is the limit within the next 5 years, predicting that the consumption levels change (increases) and AMA brewery (including idle capacity at ABA) is (are) no longer sufficient to quench the thirst of the young population (thanks to Soludo + most banks looking to expand into consumer credits, anyhow).

I seriously believe that NBL is a must have stock for the medium to long term investor - the current metrics are very favourable!!!

In the same boat as you, but I only have 14% return

However, sooner or later, the market will realize the value in the stock, so let's be patient (I might also load some more if I get spare cash). PAT was up 70% YoY, so if they only do 25% this year, then we are looking at a forward PE of around 16. Better still, if they pull off 50% PAT growth, then forward PE is around 14.

For them to do this (50% PAT growth), they need help from resident Nigerians, so I am calling on all SMNers to please drink more shine shine bobos and the "ultimate" (abi Gulder don change slogan?). For your okpekes please go the Farouz or Maltina way. Thank you all.

All the more reasons why Chelsea should have won the Champions league. With the number of fans that they have in this country and the level of celebration that would have followed after, NB would have made that 40% increase within a week.
When I was vexing that day say Chelski no win, some pple thought I was a Chelsea fan, them no know say na something else I carry for mind
Meanwhile, I no be Chelski fan o!
