Just got a copy of the pp memo from skye bank office-Akin Adesola.

Their forecasts seem pretty unrealistic plus they passed a resolution declaring a bonus of 140 ordinary shares each for every three shares held as at may 9, 2008.

NB - Well, this is not unusual as companies tend to dilute the shares in issue to sale at a seemingly low price on the exchange and improve volatility of the stock once listed. But then, a bonus of like 47 : 1, damn...

if this offer is selling for #5 then going by the minimum of 1,000,000 units, it should be #5,000,000 and not #2,500,000 or what do you think.

i also see this misstatement, it's wrong, it's supposed to be #5,000,000 not #2,500,000.

I think Newton has clarified it since he is in possession of a prospectus. Go with =N=500,000 minimum.

Wonder why many of these PP's are no more going at good discounts. Is it because of the huge awareness. New joiners are not really given good discounts. Even some PO's give better discounts. Imagine this PP has a price to book of 9.7

If it was priced at N 2.5 It will be more exciting as projected 2008/9/10/11 PE's and dividend yields will be better and make it less risky.

The question now is how much upside above forecast PAT is possible. If the upside potential is weak then one is better off buying some stocks of existing companies on the floor of the exchange.

However there is still a catch many of these companies doing PP's are in the growth phase. If they succeed they give more chances of minting out money (growing the GDP) than stocks on the floor of the exchange.
