this Dangote guy never ceases to impress me. He has just appointed Tom Hadley, former Africa regional president for Lafarge as the CEO, cement operations for the Dangote group. He will be responsible for driving the gropus operations in africa and worldwide.
Hadley is a mechanical engineering graduate of London's Imperial college and has experience of over 27 years. Kudos Dangote |

anytime he likes he should come, i can assure u we will be waiting, i expect the cement to be the goldmine, but with Dangote u never can tell again????? the flour is not yet over, lets see the end of that soap opera and see the effect it would have on people.

Yeah ppl might just tell him to chill a lil and allow all these other offers to pass by b4 launchin another one. Mid 2008 seems feasible to me also.

I doubt if he will come out with anything till Danflour is listed and people see how it is doing. The success of future offers from him will very much depend on how much of people's expectations are met by the performance of Danflour.
Do not forget that Danflour is riding on the success of Dangsugar and that was used in the case of NASCON too. If you consider the performance of NASCON so far after the special sale, Danflour had better be listed soon and at a good price too. Traditionally most newly listed stocks enjoy an initial hype and therefore rise, irrespective of the performance of the coy. Hopefully we will have our certs by then and people who want to take advantage of that will be able to |

So much is being said about Dangote Cement but things don't seem to be looking up for the company and the man Dangote.
Many investors are not happy with way and manner the Dangote flour offer went and are likely to be cautious toward Dangote Cement. The coffin on Dangote Cement however is government's lifting of the ban on importation of cement. Perhaps attention should shift elsewhere! |

FG approves importation of cement
You guys can read for yourself. Irrespective of the ban, i still don't think it will be a downturn for the local cement comapnies, Dangote included. We might notice a drop in profits since they will have to reduce their price to compete effectively but i still think it will be attractive. Let's wait and see the figures first. |
