are you sure about fuel being sold outside Nigeria in the north? our cement demand is so large there really is no point taking the cement outside esp since the price is not limited(unlike petroleum).
Countries like Niger and Chad depend on Nigeria for everything, most manufacturers in the north have their products exported because petty traders from those countries come over here to stock their shops.

Actually a sizable % of the population of those countries, in the age groups of 15 to 35 live and work in north of Nigeria, at least part of the year. They earn here and remit money home. It is debatable what proportion of exports are paid for by money generated in Niger and Chad. More so most the Nigerian goods going north into those countries are provisions manufactured by the likes of Nestle, PZ and Cadbury, whose factories are in the south of Nigeria. As for oil, don't forget that these countries are also now small oil producers. In fact there is talk of Niger soon selling refined petrol into Nigeria from their own refinery!

@Nosa2
I agree they're depenedent on us but I confirmed that Ashaka doesn't sell outside naija, I go find person for CCNN ask.

If they do, that could add to the artificially high cement prices we have, we dont have enough cement yet(capacity yes, actual production, No)

I don't have any actual evidence that they export their products but I've got a friend who makes fruit juice in Maiduguri and he exports most of his products so I just assumed that it should apply to cement manufacturers, and in any case your friend in the factory would only know about distributors and not end users. I know that to become a distributor for cement is capital intensive, about N5m for Dangote, and even at that there's a waiting list. A lot of these African buyers buy in small quantities, anyway ask your friend in CCNN, no knowledge is wasted.

Nosa this your CCNN don turn to heavy laggard o . imagine you left your peco in Okomu. Anyways dont be in a rush to sell before it does you another okomu. Anybody here should be for a long time. I dont see this going anywhere anytime soon. The wanting to raise funds is a big factor here . lets hope this pans out well for you

I feel you, but then again my CCNN holding is over 4x what I had in okomu and I won't have ever put that kind of concentration in okomu. Anyway I'm still waiting for Q1 to decide if I should sell or not
