The cycle of transcorp will not be forever & tink it is a good stock expecially if you can have a long term view. Personally I am waiting for it go as low as possible but I will have to pick a good quantity b4 the release of 3rd quater result and hold it at least till their audited is released

Without a doubt, Transcorp has shown that it has the potential to become a great company/conglomerate, but then there is the Tony Elumelu factor( going by his antecedents at UBA)

With the way the price of the stock is moving northwards in recent times, it is difficult to really say what the true worth of the stock is.

The way things are going i see a situation where it may not go below N1 again not to talk of parking at the bus stop, like it did for most of 2011.

Just looked at this result, pls what translates to finance income for a coy like TRANSCORP? Do they place monies with banks or do they trade on financial instruments or stocks?

It actually appears they are considering it. Just found in their 2011 annual reports that one of the committees was mentioned to have deliberated on it. I will wait till they are done with the abracadabra before I consider buying....

I was expecting that. I am not surprise. I run away from companies that have large shares except bank stocks.

It would be difficult to pay dividends due to high negative reserves on the books. Share reconstruction provides a way to accelerate the payment of dividends to shareholders in the near future.

just confirmed that they actually intend to reconstruc the shares sometime this year. But not anytime soon.
