I don't think so. I doubt the current bull run is due to sound fundamentals, though I will agree it is related to the positive result released recently.

The same thing was tried with First Inland but the supply eventually got the better of demand.

Transcorp has 21.45B shares. There isn't enough in Abuja Hilton to feed everyone if the price does not remain low. Even if we accept the recent result, the EPS is just 8k.
I hope whoever is doing this knows what he is doing. How do you play any type of a game with a stock so hated and heavily on offer? I wish the person luck sha. If there is no positive news about Transcorp like soon, the stock will come crashing back down to 50K. I agree the fundamentals do not support the sudden spike in price which was why I sold all my units as soon as I could.

I can assure you that they know what they are doing for now! The main positive news is being expected by december/January

I like this attitude my guy...man enough to say I was wrong!!! I had quite a bit and bailed out too fast because I was thinking along the same line as you. Market is unpredictable!

The fate of transcorp seems to be so intertwined with the messy waves of nigerian politics hence it is a highly unpredictable stock. It will take a lot for the company to stabilize and breakthrough especially in view of this board/management squabble, government's inconsistencies, depreciating assets, poor reputation and stakeholders apathy!

Ok.... I would say what i heard.. it may or may niot be very true...

Transcorp had some oil block alloted to them secretly by OBJ for keeps for him... That this oil blocks have beed sold to some chinese explorer who are due to make the secret payments to Transcorp before the year ends...

This would be reflecetd in their books as extro ordinary items hence the divideds would be paid this year end.... I lot of insiders are now puying to reduce their average cost thus the scarcity of the stocks..

Am on this train, just bought out of satisfying a friend who claims to be an inlaw to an insider.... once it gets to N1 am out!! they are very optimistic it would get there!!
