Please is it not high time transcorp plc should release the certificate of the last IPO which is nearly one year now. In my opinion, transcorp is playing tricks, avoiding paying dividend to their shareholders

It will not be too much of a surprise to see it hit even 50kobo, we have seen worse things happen in the market before, all we are saying is that it could also get to 70 naira. Ask Nascon shareholders.

Heart attack? oh no, except for those that used loans to purchase the stocks. Remember a general rule in the stock market; dont invest anything you cannot afford to lose. I have mine in the cscs, but i never sell such things, if it gets lost good and fine, but as insurance stocks have thought me this month; never give up. If I had sold my insurance stocks, I will be crying now.

But have you all been reading the comments about the NItel sale review?
The VP and the House of Reps have agreed to review the sale, citing that it amongst other privatisation deals, did not follow due process. Even the BPE boss was quoted last week as saying they are dissapointed with what has become of Nitel since the sale to Transcorp. No hard feelings, but without Nitel - I dont think there will be a Transcorp!!! I held some istock n faith up until last month that is, when I cut my losses and switched into more insurance. Thankfully - it seems I did that in good time and im recouping more of my investment now.... If it reaches N1-- I may be back, but until then - I'll be watching this space. Cheers...B |

I have such a very small qty of holding in Transcorp that it will not make too much difference if I sold or not. No need worrying myself.

mixed feelers from transcorp
NITEL’s fixed lines crash to 70,000 NigComSat may acquire 49% govt stake in NITEL |

transcorp enjoyed lot of favours from the previous administration, well am not surprise some of their properties were declared illegaly acquired ot not through due process.
that will further force down the share price, may be as low as N1. its really unfortunate, but i dont want to believe that the present situation will force t.corp out of existence. |

despite, the news of transcorp news that goverment is revisiting acquisition among others, the share price still appreciate!, i think there is a strong resistance at N3, or what do u all think??????????? |
|
|||
|
This is almost like history repeating itself. remember the same situation palyed out while it was at =N=4 and we all thought that =N=4 was its resistant level till the next bearish pushed it below =N=4. Not yet uhuru for transcorp

my average entry point is now N4.96, my first entry was N9.7!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, but i had to buy more when it was N4. now am praying it should go down to N1, can u imagine? i need to average my entry price to N2, so am not happy there is resistance at N3, so i pray your view is correct. am one of those that still believe transcorp will rise some time later |
|

There is very little doubt that Transcorp may rise at some time later, the question is how do you time it so that you don't tie down money on its protracted bearish run when same money could be growing on other stocks.
I guess some of us will just have to do the "sidown look approach". I personally think N3 is a fairly safe entry level, that means you would have entered at par with those who participated in the private placement. Any thing above N3 is still gain to those people so we may still see some price loss on this stock yet |

How did you determine the current fair value price to buy (or re-enter) Transcorp? People have stated a wide range from N1.00 to N9.70. I have not heard of any quarterly report of the company. Could it be one of the following:
a. Averaging down to cut losses b. Current news (good or bad) about Transcorp c. Potentials d. Sentiments e. Public offer prospectus f. "Insider" information g. Madam Ndidi (of NSE) factor h. "The Pharoah that knew Joseph no more in power" i. Hope of price rising back to previous heights? j. Just gut feeling k. "Gree die" attitude Please share Last edited by Gengen : 17th December 2007 at 04:48 PM. |
