End of year is December 31st.

we should not expect the results till February, March next year if not later.

It may be the anticipation of quarterly results.

Their year end is December. That means their result will not be out until first quarter of next year.

I will search for their most recent result and see how they fear.

The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) has approved the special sale of N2.5 billion worth of shares of UAC of Nigeria Plc (UAC) on its Floors. This was contained in a document issued by the NSE and made available to Proshare NI.

Godwin Obaseki, Chief Executive Officer/Managing Director (CEO/MD) of Afrinvest West Africa (AFRINVEST) stockbrokers to the UAC confirmed to Proshare NI that Arctis African Funds, former African Commonwealth Development Corporation who bought Private Equities into UAC about three years ago is selling its shares in the company.

“As the usual practice in order not to allow a few investors take advantage of it, we have decided to make it available to everybody” Obaseki affirmed.

The NSE approved 50 million units of UAC shares on Arctis for special sale. The sale will take place on June 04, 2008 at the Floors of the NSE and it would be sold at the price of N50.00 per share.

Obaseki confirmed to Proshare NI that investors who are interested in the sale; should send their application forms/purchase orders through their Stockbrokers for the purpose of allotment on or before the close of business on June 02, 2008.

i really see uacn going down after the special sales, just like NASCON.
The year end is dec, we are expecting result by feb 09, the fact that they are selling such volume in a day will make the coy available and surplus thereby reducing demand and no immediate factor to raise cause demand.


why the special sales?
obviously the firm wants to take their money after making good profit!!!!
