CSCS Website Hacked

I just went to the cscs website www.cscsnigerialtd.com - The Clearing House of The Nigerian Stock Exchange and noticed a weird looking graphic with a heading "h4x0r3d By XTech Inc - Pablin77 Was Here" on their homepage. I tried to google that text and it seems like its a message posted by Pablin 77 a hacker. Here is a thread i found related to pablin 77 TRAI Website Hacked By Pablin77 ! - Reliance Mobile - Discussion Forums. Looks like he has hacked a lot of other sites. I can tell they are using some open source software for their application and he might have found a back door.

I sure hope CSCS is aware of this and are tightening up security on their website. It won't be funny if cscs records are been tampered with.

Some might consider this a small issue. IT IS ABSOLUTELY NOT. From the links provided above, the Hacker has successfully "Attacked the goverment websites of Uruguay, Germany, Holland, China, Ethiopia and most recently the website of the Philippines". And now Nigeria. While some hacking might not be destructive, some could be disastrous. We need to start asking ourselves the following questions:

1. What level of Information Security is available on the CSCS system? (Remember, this is a 'close to government institution")
2. What level of back up is done by CSCS in case of deep penetration/damage by hacking?
3. What recovery measures are in place?
4. Is CSCS fully aware of the damage that can be done by hacking?
5. Is CSCS also considering the negative international publicity that this gives to foreign investors knowing that this important website could be hacked into?
6. I know some other major sites have been hacked into, but people will looking at the recovery/reaction time and how this is treated by CSCS. Will they consider this an important issue?

I am not a Computer Guru. I imploy Computer Gurus to contribute to this and state the full impacts of hacking.

This is no doubt a very serious issue that we all must take seriousely.
I mean, we need to know the measure of safety with which our investments are guarded abi?

CSCS management will need a robust internet security plan as there will likely be more attacks on the website, this is a global problem that will not go away. We all should be concerned!

This is serious considering the fact that CSCS also has a subsidiary that provides backup data storage to third parties. Depending on who their clients are, it is a scary to think about the type of security measures CSCS has to protect customer information both investors and data storage clients.

guys no need to worry , naa naija we dey , naija , na over calculating country dem no as dem go use arrange things if all this kind hacking paroll come up , i am not a bit scared , i am sue cscs has not done anything about it but na naija we dey naa , we have traditttional measures put in place we no need all this hi-tech devices in the first place , but as e don be so , lets just relax and donn't funk the cscs stuffs up . donn't get me wrong guys. smiles. one love
