i ve been taking note of the stock price of eterna oil recently seems to be some restructing going on as the stock price has been on the rise as at 10.39.Read in the papers of an impending IPO .Do you think i should buy now or wait till the IPO.
comments pls.

Turnover has grown from N200million to N3billion in 2006. That's a good sign since they changed mannagment and have undergone restructuring.

There lowest price this yr is N3.00 and as yessterday N10.90. Returns over a 12 month period is 316.03% and over a 3yr period is 500.58%.

As far as I can see this is a good buy.

What sort of restructuring turns a N200m generator into a N3bln one!

What part of the Oil and Gas industry are they primarily operating in?
Is this abnormal growth sustainable or just caused by one off items like selling of assets?

Like all of us, I like a good quick trd, but buying into their IPO requires these questions be answered. They could simply have window dressing for the IPO!

Please provide the Prospectus when its released

yeah, thanks for all the info. But from my limited knowledge of the stock market, making money is all about buying low and selling high. Obviously, Eterna's progress has been magnificent. But the question is this: What's the guaantee that one isn't buying at the peak i.e. how can one be sure that the price wouldnt start a steep slide tomorrow?

after the allotment has been concluded the excess fund will be returned after hw many month.SEC shld do something like paying certain % on returned fund.

Future prospects... oil stocks can swing always, if they get key supply contracts then ... d sky is d limit but if not, it'l be around the current price 4 long.
Certainly there makin a loss 4 yr end07, but they seem 2 want 2 approach d market again.
