Depends on your entry point and strategy. I entered Flour Mills @ N73 in November on a long term basis. If I entered for short term, I would be out by now, but I think the company has good long term propects. 9-Month result are usually released in Feb/March, so I am looking forward to that result.

The current PE based on dis result is 15.2....earning per share is N4.10k. O/S is 1.55b units. The result is not impressive.

Well it has been in a free fall for a long time. Although historically a PE of 15.2 for Flour mills is not bad. My problem with them has always been the poor dividend yield for a mature company. Dividend yield is currently 1.6%.

What's going on with the cement plant they were building with foreign partners? Does anyone know when that plant will come on stream?

Gurus in the house I need your help/advice asap.
1. Does anyone in the house have an idea what the opening, closing and lowest trading price for flour mills on thursday the 21st of august. 2. Can a stock be sold at a price lower than the lowest price it was traded for on floor of the stock exchange on the same day? 3. Is it right or very unusual for a stockbrroker to give its client a cheque of the balance after deduction of charges after selling some stocks but not provide same client with a detailed report of a sales transaction i.e. the total values of sales, price per unit on which a stock was sold and the percentage/value of charges taken? I desperately need this information because it seems my stockbroker is trying to play a fast one on me because I am not in the country at the moment. |

1. You could find the data you seek at this location: Zenith Securities Ltd
2. That'll be very unusual and irregular. 3. You could get a cheque for money due you; it's better than a cash transaction. You could also request a breakdown of the transaction. But you would do yourself a good favour by getting an online subscription to your CSCS account so you could view your transactions. . |

Thanks for your reply. I do have an online subscription to cscs but I actually want to confirm that the price my stockbroker is telling he sold my stocks is the actual price. Is there a way I can check that on my cscs account or any other way of finding that out?

@ Gbike,
On the 21st of August, the high for flour mills was 62.54 while the low for that day was 57.10. the opening price on that day was 59.57. The price at which it was bought or sold cannot be effected beyond the high and the low for that particular trading day. you should be given transaction note for every transaction you have had with your stockborkers. At least that is what i have been used to with the 3 brokers i have ever dealt with

I have been waiting for this information to be supplied as they did not give that to me when I went in to collect my cheque and that is arousing suspision in me that he may have sold at a higher price than he has payed in cheque to me. Just wondering if their is a way to verify the price that he might be claiming to have sold them for me.
