Friesland Foods WAMCO Nigeria Plc, makers of Peak milk is not publicly traded on the Nigerian stock exchange at this time.
However, the company is a good potential for long term investment. So, watch out for it when it decides to go public.
I got the information today from Cashcraft Asset Management Limited - A member of the Nigerian Stock Exchange

Dont have any ready made data. Not a publicly quoted company but a very profitable company. Always selling at a premium. It has good dividend history.

I know this company will be very profitable, their products command attention from consumers who patronize them at all cost.

I have also sought infomation about this company and met deadend.

@Wanajo, even as it is not publicly listed, what steps can one take to get their shares?

They are traded just like any private company. Valuation is key. Contact a broker or registrar. They may know those that are planning to sell. Was offered some years ago. FSDH maybe able to help. Not sure if First Bank is the registrar.

Valuation is the major problem.

Thanks Wanajo, will ask around. But the problem you ae talking about with valuation, is it that they will not be able to agree on the prices I think they are worth since it is not listed on the NSE for us to see the current value?

How do you determine how much a share is worth? what will be the basis? That to me is the problem.

Okay, but they will provide me with annual reports, earnings and other basics to base my valuations on?

Friesland Foods WAMCO Nigeria Plc, makers of Peak and Three Crowns milk brands has declared a net sales turnover of N62.2 billion for the financial year ended December 31 2008.

The result is a 25.2 percent increase over the N49.7 billion declared in 2007.

The result was released at its 36th annual general meeting held on Wednesday in Lagos.

A key highlight of the meeting was the unanimous adoption of the company's change of name from Friesland Foods WAMCO Nigeria Plc to FrieslandCampina WAMCO Nigeria Plc.

According to a statement signed by the Corporate Affairs Manager, Ore Famurewa, the company's profit before tax (PBT) increased by 19.8 percent from N5.7 billion in 2007 to N6.8 billion in 2008. Profit after taxation (PAT) also increased by 21.1 percent from N3.8 billion to N4.6 billion.

Having paid an interim dividend of N3.15 in November 2008,

Famurewa disclosed that the company proposed a final dividend of N11.48 per ordinary share of N1.00 each to the shareholders.

The shareholders approved the final dividend during the Annual General Meeting.

Hence a total dividend of N14.63 per N1.00 share was paid during the year under review.

According to the board of directors, despite the global increase in the prices of dairy raw materials and the sudden devaluation of the Naira towards the end of 2008, the company's market share grew significantly in 2008, reinforcing its leadership position in the total dairy market in Nigeria.

The growth has been largely due to high consumer demand, launch of new and relevant products, continuous improvement in operations and its network of distribution leading to increased accessibility of our products, Peak and Three Crowns.

Famurewa added that the shareholders also commended the company for the initiative of adopting the solar technology for its corporate social responsibility community water project.

They noted that this step would certainly increase the sustainability and efficiency of the projects.
I wouldn't mind paying N15O per Unit for this stock.

One share will probably split into ten before they list on the exchange and it will end up diluting the earnings per share. Private equities are not usually fantastic when it comes to valuations and given the earnings, each stock may be as high as N400. The aim of most private equities is to keep for long time or to list and do an offer for sale.
