Bonus is just "playing with the mirror" your wealth is still the same. Dividend creates some liquidity.

bonus is not a return, if anything it increases the number of shareholders (assuming folks sell some of their bonus) thus increase, marginally, cost of the company

NEM paid 5kobo as dividend in the last financial year which they they can still pay in the current financial year based on their Q3 financial result, calculate the dividend yield at current price. Insider trading is unethical and would not be associated with me. BTW who i be, am just a small boy.

Dividend yield is relative.6.4% is for those that joined the rally recently. If NEM delivers 5k,remember that some major shareholders of NEM like Sir Oracle and Sir Hispy99 will still get a dividend yield circa 10%. What guaranteed savings account gives that in Nigeria today? Even the Fixed Income securities are already going below 11%.
