Bros,
Why are you talking about a Private Placement? Are you saying the info in public domain is not correct? I hope it is a PO, in that way the talakawas like myself can lay our hands on some units

I think you may run away with your 50000 units just make sure you purschase from the issuing houses directly. I don't know why anyway.
Hello,
Please guys i,m new to this forum.I was going through the net and found this site interesting which i later joined. Please i'm based in US n would like to start investing in my country nigeria.I really do not know where to start, but after i read all the entries here. it seems like you all have gone far by mentioning TS AND PO, that i got confused and don't know what you're talking about . I thought about investing in IBTC equity fund and probably dangote stocks. Please i need to know if it is possible to have a company manage/monitor my stock when i purchase it.Please i need more info on how all these work. I will appreciate it.

TS simplly means technical suspension which normally takes place before PO(public offering) or suspension of trading on a particular share and TS is lifted after PO. You can go thru www.Nigerianstockexchange.com or Cscsnigltd.com which is one of the subforums or threads to see the list of stockbroking firms.

Hello All, I'm also fairly new at this.. on the question of POs & residing in the US, would my certificates get to me if I were to indicate a US address as opposed to an address in Nigeria? I'll also be indicating my CSCS account number (the all numeric #, not the alphanumeric one) on the application form, but not sure how certai it is that it will get applied directly to my cscs acct or if it will get mailed instead. Any information is useful.. Thanks!

I am not quite about receiving your Certificate over there if you reside abroad, but you can get that information from the registrars of the Company you suscribed for their PO or IPO. I have been using my Nija address so far except for the firstbank PO. I have never actually thought about this. I will find out from them.

NB!Please members,Has anyone used his/her oversees address to receive share certificates?.

I suggest you use a naija address, and arrange for the IPO cert to be sent to your broker for verification. No point using a US address when u wil later have 2 send it back 2 naija 4 verification.

Thumbs up

Check on papers, I dont think Dangote flour will be out, cos NSE and Dangote do not agreed on one issue, therefore this makes Dangote Flour not accept the price that he has being given from NSE.

If this article is anything to go by, the long awaited IPO of DFM will be offered at N15 per share; opening on 6 September and closing on 27 September.

Proshare News

What's more, they're planning to allot 60% of the offer to 'identified individuals.' Mmmm... I feel a dé já vu coming on. They're not planning to pull another 'NASCON' on us, are they?

Folks,

Now that we know Dangote flour IPO will open on the 6th sept., the next stage of our brainstorming session should be on how best to go about it, tto ensure full allotment or atleast 80% allotment. We don't want to keep our hard earned money hanging in the coffers of any bank, since we know it takes them ages to refund monies paid for non-alloted shares.

All I know for the moment is what has been published but my guess would be 1000 units minimum. We'll just have to wait for the application form/prospectus.
